Federal Per Diem Calc Guide

About Federal Per Diem Calc

Federal Per Diem Calc is built and maintained by the Federal Per Diem Calc editorial team, a small independent group that builds single-purpose calculators from public data. We are not travel agents, accountants or government employees, and we do not give tax or travel-policy advice. What we do is take an official dataset and make it faster to use than the source interface.

The site exists because the per diem question is usually a trip question, not a rate question. GSA publishes the rates clearly enough, but working out what a four-day trip to Denver is actually worth means looking up the right month, splitting nights across a fiscal year boundary and remembering that the first and last day pay 75%. That is arithmetic a page should do for you.

Every figure comes from the GSA Per Diem API, the official source behind the tables on gsa.gov. No rate is typed in by hand. The current dataset was fetched on 14 September 2026 and covers FY2026 and FY2027 CONUS lodging, M&IE tiers and meal breakdowns. GSA publishes the next fiscal year each August, and we refresh from the API when it does.

If a figure here does not match the official source, tell us and we will check it: info@federalperdiemcalc.com. Corrections are made against the GSA source, not from memory. Federal Per Diem Calc is not affiliated with the U.S. General Services Administration.
